Out In The Tropics 2019 – by FUNDarte
A performing arts series that features artists that explore questions of sexuality, gender politics, and LGBTQ identity via their work. Out in the Tropics, which is now celebrating its 10th year, will feature the world premiere of the contemporary dance production Objects in the Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear, which will be choreographed by Abel Berenguer (Miami) and titled From el Barrio to The Mainstage.

Cuban Caricature and Culture: The Art of Massaguer

City Theatre’s Summer Shorts
The only theater in the United States that focuses exclusively on writing and staging ten-minute plays throughout the year for audiences of all ages. SUMMER SHORTS at City Theatre is an annual event that takes place every summer and features new plays written by some of the most talented playwrights in the nation.
These pieces are then produced by a company of South Florida theatrical all-stars. This year’s America’s Short Play Festival has brand-new and unproduced works, as well as 10-minute comedies, dramas, and mini-musicals, all lined up in a festive celebration of theater. It’s like seeing a theatrical season in under two hours!

Luis Miguel

Wisin & Yandel
On June 21, the Puerto Rican reggaeton duo Como Antes will be making a stop in Miami as part of their tour. They achieved this distinction as the very first and only reggaeton performers to do so.

After his last performance, which was completely sold out, he is now back by popular demand! An essential need for all Queen fans! Martel was selected not only by Roger Taylor and Brian May of Queen to perform on their tribute tour in 2012 but also to record vocals for the film Bohemian Rhapsody, which won the Academy Award for Best Biopic in 2019. “You could shut your eyes, and it’s Freddie… and that’s a very challenging thing to do,” the film producer Graham King stated.

After the success of their three-part comedy special for Netflix in 2018, titled “The Honeymoon Stand-Up Special,” husband-and-wife comic team Moshe Kasher and Natasha Leggero will bring their hilarious one-man/one-woman performance to the Miami Improv for the dates June 27-29. The audience will be encouraged to participate in the performance, which will feature amusing tips on love and marriage.

Redland Summer Fruit Festival
